The Young Marines saw the news of the destruction and devastation that was Hurricane Katrina.  There was only on thing for them to do.  We set out on a three month adventure that took our youth door-to-door and from organization to organization collecting supplies for those that needed them in Mississippi.  The entire unit participated in this event that would later earn them a Distinguished Unit Citation.

The next leg of the event was harder.  We were then to take a group of Young Marines and Staff down to the affected area to help in any way that we could.  From repairing a roof to saving chickens, the team that went did it all.  The pictures on this page helps, but could never show you the full amount of what the unit did.  Enjoy.
